City of Tumwater Public Works Facility

The Operations & Maintenance Facility project consists of seven (7) buildings.

The City of Tumwater Public Works Facility includes a new administration building, six (6) maintenance buildings, associated parking, and transportation improvements including upgrades to Trails End Drive, 79th Ave, and Old Hwy 99.  Environmental review documents include future park and transportation improvements to 79th Avenue and Old Hwy 99.

Building A is the main Administration building and is the primary public face of the facility. It is the only building that will be open to the public. The public area of Building A contains a conference room that can seat 70 people with room for a presenter podium and all audio and visual needs for presentations and meetings. This conference room is open to the public and can be used during non-work hours.

Building A contains an exterior public plaza directly east of the building and includes paved and landscaped open spaces and public seating. The main entry is at the northeast corner of the building and highly visible from the public parking area and contains a public entry vestibule, lobby and receptionist station to receive visitors. All visitors are required to check in at Building A when visiting the site.

Buildings B-G 

The other buildings on the site (B-G) are pre-engineered metal buildings,  secured behind an eight-foot (8') high decorative wrought iron fence and not open to the public.
