Water & Sewer

Sewer/Wastewater/Reclaimed Water
LOTT Clean Water Alliance provides wastewater treatment to the City of Tumwater. Visit the LOTT website for more information. Account setup and billing is through City of Tumwater Utility Billing.

Septic System
Septic systems are maintained by property owners and regulated by Thurston County Environmental Health and Social Services.

Stormwater
Stormwater programs protect our precious water resources. Stormwater fees are included in Tumwater water utility bill. Some property owners also maintain a storm pond, independently or through a neighborhood association.

Report spills or illegal dumping in City stormwater drains by calling the 24-hour Spill Hotline (360) 754-4150.

Several private service companies provide communication services through lease agreements for underground utility conduit from the City. 

Trash Collection
For curbside hauling, recycling, and composting. LeMay/Pacific Disposal/Waste Connections, Inc. provides curbside trash and recycling collection to Tumwater and Thurston County residents. Call (360) 923-0111 or send an email.

Public Schools and Library

Tumwater School District
Tumwater serves over 6,000 students with an Early Childhood Learning Center, six elementary schools, two middle schools, two traditional high schools, and an alternative high school.
