City Services

The City of Tumwater provides general governmental services authorized by state law, including public safety (police, fire and emergency medical services), highways and streets, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, permits and inspections, general administration, and water, sewer and stormwater utility services. Other services are provided by partner public agencies, nonprofits, and private companies.

Do you live in the City?

Some provisions apply only to Tumwater residents. To determine if your address is within the Tumwater City limits, visit the Thurston County GeoData Center website and conduct a “Parcel Search” on your street address. The GeoData site includes information and links to public services, school district, voting information, zoning and other helpful links.
