Final Project Activities

November 1-18: Transfer overhead utilities and remove poles. Complete adjustments to utilities in street and patch remaining work areas.

Project Description

The Israel Road and Linderson Way Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Project entails demolition and replacement of sidewalks, curb ramps and driveways, extension of bike lanes, and installation of pedestrian features.  

Project Funding 

This project is funded in part by federal grants totaling $903,700, awarded and administered by the Thurston Regional Planning Council. Local funding match comes from the City's Transportation Benefit District and Transportation CFP.

Timeline 

Construction is scheduled August - October, 2024. The schedule may change due to weather, equipment, and project delays.

Prior to beginning this project, the City installed new water main and moved overhead utilities underground as part of the Israel-Linderson Water Main Replacement Project.
