Earth Day Volunteer Work Party

10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Saturday, April 19, 2025 | Tumwater Historical Park

Each year, Tumwater Parks & Recreation teams up with the PARC Foundation to celebrate Earth Day. Join other volunteers in a service project to improve one of Tumwater’s most popular parks.

This year, help us plant shrubs and trees, and remove invasive plants and debris at Tumwater Historical Park. Tools, gloves, water, and light refreshments will be provided.  Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for working outdoors. This event will be held rain or shine!

Arbor Day Plant Giveaway

10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Saturday, April 19, 2025 | Tumwater Historical Park

Arbor Day, the nation’s first tree-planting holiday, was established 150 years ago. Today it is observed in all 50 states and in countries all around the world. This holiday creates a way for us to come together, celebrate trees, and teach the younger generation about the need for environmental stewardship.

Tree giveaway details will be announced as the event gets closer.
