Tumwater Tree Board

The Tree Board advises the City Council on urban forestry issues, including drafting and sometimes revising a comprehensive tree protection plan or ordinance, or any other tree matter. The Board is scheduled to meet every month. However, the meeting schedule may vary, depending on pending work items. Visit the City Calendar for the current meeting schedule or contact City staff for details.

Terms & Residency

The Tumwater Tree Board consists of five to seven members; serving three-year terms, appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Tree Board (TMC 2.66.020) members shall be residents of the City, with the exception to assure at least two representatives are from the professional disciplines specified in the ordinances and one person may qualify for membership by residing in the Tumwater urban growth area.

Tumwater Tree Board Meetings

The Tree Board meets on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fire Department Headquarters Training Room (located next to City Hall), 311 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, WA  98501. Please confirm meeting schedule on the City Calendar or contact staff.
