The City of Tumwater provides essential public services, funded primarily by taxes and user fees. But city revenue sources do not always cover the things that are important to our residents. In a difficult economic climate, city leaders makes tough budget choices and staff work smarter to use limited resources wisely. Your contributions make a difference in our community.

Did you know that donations to the city are tax-deductible?

A gift to a local government entity is tax deductible if it is solely for “public purposes.” See Internal Revenue Service Code at 26 U.S.C. §170 or consult your tax advisor. Contributors providing over $200 in a calendar year will receive a letter for tax purposes.
