City of Tumwater has a selection of resources designed to help employees access our safety policies and learn more about safety events coordinated by the Safety Committee. Employees are encouraged to review these documents when they have questions or concerns regarding safety in our workplace.

Training

The City of Tumwater offers many training opportunities and the newest resource we use is the WCIA LocalGovU. This resource provides new learning opportunities as well as the ability to document outside trainings. Please follow any specific instruction from your supervisor to document your participation and completion of training modules. Forwarding screenshots or certificates of completion are encouraged when possible. Training records and certificates should be forwarded to Human Resources to be entered in personnel records. Below you can find the WCIA LocalGovU website and course list, as well as getting started instructions for users and how to request a custom course.

Wellness

The City of Tumwater also provides wellness resources for employees. The Wellness Committee provides a quarterly newsletter with upcoming events and articles related to your health and wellness along with optional benefits that center around wellness.
