Daily Activity Reports

Tumwater Police Department and other local municipal activity can be viewed through the LERMS Police 2 Citizen (P2C) website. Users will be able to view a 24-hour snapshot of incidents and/or arrests of LERMS agencies.  Additionally, users can search activity by date.


Facebook

Facebook has been a successful tool in solving and preventing crime in Tumwater. Police enlist the community to identify unknown suspects from surveillance videos and photos. Citizens actively help crack cases, and they do so enthusiastically. It also sends a message that the community does not take a passive approach to public safety. From the very first post, Facebook has helped police track down criminals and collect evidence so cases can be prosecuted successfully. Twitter - School Resource Officer

Tumwater's School Resource Officer, Detective Chuck Liska, uses Twitter as a communication tool to improve the climate of local schools. The officer can help redirect potential conflict before incidents escalate and reinforce favorable student actions through this medium. The officer’s social media channel has achieved celebrity status. Students place a high value on being mentioned by name in the officer’s Tweets.
