There are four standing subcommittees of the Tumwater City Council. All meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Tumwater City Hall and are open to the public. Meeting dates and times vary. Please see Council Committees for current members and information or the City Calendar for scheduled meetings.
The City Council meeting agenda and supporting documents will be posted to the website by the Friday afternoon before the Tuesday Council meeting.
Agendas and supporting documents are available on the City website under each meeting type and from the City Calendar. You can also sign up for e-news at Stay Connected to get Council and Worksession meeting agendas and other City news delivered to your Inbox!
Please note that some agenda items may take some time to download depending on the file size. For meeting records older than the current year, please go to the Tumwater Records Center to find those records.
Citizens are encouraged to express their opinions on any matter within the Council's authority. Oral presentations and written communications are both appropriate methods of expression during public meetings. Written communications also may be directed to the City Council at City Hall or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to address an issue that is scheduled for a public hearing, plan to attend the Council meeting and speak during the hearing; if you want to speak to another issue, sign up at the meeting or make yourself known during the “public comment” period held early in each Council meeting.
During the public comment period, speakers must step to the lectern, placed at the front of the room, and state their name and address for the record. Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to no more than three minutes, or no more than five minutes when presenting the official position of a recognized organization.
