Ed and his wife, Jodie, along with their son, Austin, and daughter, Michele, moved to the Tumwater community over 34 years ago. Ed served on the City's Planning Commission for 14 years, several of those as chair. Currently, Ed is in his first full-term as a Councilmember, originally appointed in 2009. Ed served as chair of Tumwater’s Public Safety Committee. His intergovernmental committees include Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater Visitor and Convention Bureau, and TCOMM 911. He also serves by appointment from the Governor on the Washington State Public Works Board. As Tumwater continues to grow, Ed believes it is important to have an economic base to support community values that the citizens want and deserve. Ed is always open to public input regarding City issues and welcomes comments and questions. In his free time, Ed enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and volunteering in the community.
