Homicide investigation underway after man confesses to violence
The Tumwater Police Department responded to the Tumwater Timberland Library on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 6:03 p.m., where they contacted a 19-year-old male who reported he had harmed someone. Upon arrival, officers detained the suspect. After confirming the details he provided, Officers located the residence in the 2200 block of McIver Court, where the incident allegedly occurred. Subsequently, they confirmed the presence of a deceased male inside. The 53-year-old male victim appeared to have died by homicidal violence at the residence.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Tumwater Police Department and is awaiting review by the Lacey Crime Scene Team. The suspect is in custody and at this time, it appears there are no outstanding suspects.

The suspect has been identified as Jacob D. Williamson. He is under arrest and will be booked at the Thurston County Jail for Murder 1st Degree – DV. The victim has been identified as Williamson’s father. The scene is still under investigation with the assistance of crime scene investigators from the Lacey Police Department.
